Alaska Airlines’ new Global Training Center will deliver training for all frontline employees under one roof for the first time in the company’s 95-year history. The state-of-the-art, 660,000-square-foot, facility includes several mock environments, flight simulators, auditorium, cafeteria, lounges, fitness center, and more.

After partnering with architectural design firm NBBJ on the Alaska Airlines Headquarters, the CREO team was re-engaged to support the next phase of the project including fabricating a wide variety of internal and external signage, wayfinding elements, and environmental graphic treatments. CREO collaborated with NBBJ’s design team and General Contractor, Howard S. Wright, to ensure a seamless integration of all elements into their new environment.

Components created by CREO include:

  • Exterior aluminum “Welcome” letters and base finished with a faux wood treatment
  • Halo illuminated exterior building identity signage
  • Internally illuminated exterior monument signage
  • Stencil layouts for easy application of the floor’s stained and painted graphics
  • Wayfinding elements including milled aluminum and 3D letters with integrated lighting
  • Thermo-formed, custom molded, backlit faux airplane windows with printed acrylic
