Step back in time while exploring the Ice Age Fossils State Park in North Las Vegas.

Officially opening to the public on January 20th, 2024, Nevada welcomes the newest addition to its array of natural wonders with the opening of the Ice Age Fossils State Park.  Visitors can immerse themselves in the park’s history and important archeological discoveries at the new visitor center which is equipped with natural history artifacts, engaging displays, and interactive exhibits that tell the story of Las Vegas from 25,000 years ago.  As visitors explore the 315-acre park, they are greeted throughout by custom fabricated life-sized metal sculptures of mammoths, dire wolves, and prehistoric camels that once roamed the valley’s lush marshlands many thousands of years ago.  Guests can learn more about the importance of this site and the animals that once inhabited the area through the many informational kiosks located throughout.  The engaging exhibits, designed by the talented team at Haley Sharpe Design, immerses visitors in the prehistoric past.  Special thanks to the amazing park staff who made our experience working on this project so rewarding.

CRĒO was responsible for project management, final design support, detailing and engineering, exhibit fabrication, graphic production, media and lighting integration, site prep coordination, artifact mounting, signage, and installation for both the interior and exterior exhibits.

Mark Brady Project Manager Nevada State Parks

Any normal contractor would have walked away from us many times, but CREO did not. CREO is committed to not only the project but us as a client. We were developing a new state park and CREO was doing the fabrication (and some design) for the interpretive elements. Anything and everything that could have gone wrong did, from change of personnel to loss of funding, COVID-19, federal shutdowns, new Build America Buy America Act requirements mid-stream, and anything else you could imagine. This project was a roller coaster and would not have been finished, and finished well, if it wasn’t for CREO’s dedication and creativity to problem solve. The result speaks for itself. Thank you!

Let us know if you would like to get updates from CRĒO on new technologies, recent projects, etc.
