CHIHULY GARDEN AND GLASS
CRĒO contributed to the recent Chihuly Garden and Glass renovation and subsequent new exhibit in two significant ways. To assist in facilitating guest traffic flow and work area privacy during renovation, while allowing for an elegant display opportunity, CRĒO created a temporary display wall. This was carefully designed, fabricated, and installed to be fully and easily removable while seamlessly blending into the existing exhibit environment. For the final exhibit space, CRĒO also created new artwork display platforms, in a complicated arrangement, out of materials which were required to be not only highly reflective and seamless in appearance, but also scratch-resistant and walk-able for maintenance purposes. CRĒO tested the appropriate materials for this use as well as organizing and performing a challenging multi-step installation process within a high-profile museum space.
