One of the new elements at The Edgewater presented a particular challenge. The monument was designed to be concrete and stone with edge lit graphics, but was also a functional planter box. Creo Industrial Arts responded by building an illuminated aluminum cabinet with a convincing faux concrete finish on the face, as well as an aluminum planter box, again faux finished to emulate stone, that allowed for drainage behind the monument. Letterforms were pushed through the face to create the halo effect. A hidden hinge in the face allowed for servicing.
